Cycle-naturalistic path along the Naviglio Zanelli canal

The intervention consists of completing and improving the fragmented network of existing cycle and pedestrian paths, defining a cycle-nature route of over 35 kilometers that connects Faenza with the Reno river and the sea, along the left side of the Naviglio Zanelli canal, and ensuring the development of sustainable mobility, slow tourism, naturalistic enhancement, and economic and social development of the territories involved.

The project is one of the 20 Operations of Strategic Importance - Europe 27 Projects, funded by the call for proposals Design and construction of blue-green infrastructures in urban and peri-urban areas, with resources from the ERDF Regional Program 2021-2027, in implementation of Priority 2 - Sustainability, decarbonization, biodiversity and resilience, Specific Objective 2.7 - Strengthen nature protection and conservation, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including the one in urban areas, and reduce all forms of pollution, Action 2.7.1.
