Blue-Green infrastructures: the funded projects
20 projects to realize interconnected, accessible, and usable infrastructures for the improvement of comfort and microclimate
There are 20 Operations of Strategic Importance, financed under the call for proposals Design and implementation of blue-green infrastructures in urban and peri-urban areas, with resources from the ERDF Regional Programme 2021-2027, for a total investment of over 23 million euros.
The ERDF RP 2021-2027, in implementation of Priority 2, Sustainability, decarbonization, biodiversity, and resilience, has foreseen Action 2.7.1, Urban and peri-urban blue-green infrastructures, to create interconnected, accessible, and usable infrastructures for improving comfort and microclimate, and the adoption of innovative technological tools aimed at improving their efficiency and usability. The strategic importance of the action lies in the centrality of the fight against climate change in regional policies as foreseen by the Pact for Work and Climate.
The implementation of these interventions aims at several objectives: from the reduction of atmospheric pollution to the improvement of environmental quality and biodiversity, from the enhancement of green spaces in landscape, cultural, and recreational contexts, to the promotion of a planning and design model more attentive to climate change mitigation.
