Environmental ecological improvement and strengthening of San Francesco Park in Nature-based Solution perspective
The project concerns San Francesco Park and involves the creation of multifunctional spaces that include an increase in tree cover, the planting of grasses, evergreen groundcovers, and flowering meadows, and the construction of a floodable basin. This will improve the microclimate and air quality, decrease surface runoff, and increase permeability.

The call for proposals
The project is one of the 20 Operations of Strategic Importance - Europe 27 Projects, funded by the call for proposals Design and construction of blue-green infrastructures in urban and peri-urban areas, with resources from the ERDF Regional Program 2021-2027, in implementation of Priority 2 - Sustainability, decarbonization, biodiversity and resilience, Specific Objective 2.7 - Strengthen nature protection and conservation, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including the one in urban areas, and reduce all forms of pollution, Action 2.7.1.
