Urban restructuring of Don Guanella Park and floodplain area
The project is part of a strategy for the regeneration of the Gatteo waterfront through the requalification of the Don Guanella Park, with the aim of unsealing the currently impermeable areas through draining pavements and rain gardens, increasing the number of trees and shrubs, and creating multifunctional and accessible spaces for play, sports, and social activities.

The call for proposals
The project is one of the 20 Operations of Strategic Importance - Europe 27 Projects, funded by the call for proposals Design and construction of blue-green infrastructures in urban and peri-urban areas, with resources from the ERDF Regional Program 2021-2027, in implementation of Priority 2 - Sustainability, decarbonization, biodiversity and resilience, Specific Objective 2.7 - Strengthen nature protection and conservation, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including the one in urban areas, and reduce all forms of pollution, Action 2.7.1.
