Reggio Emilia Technopole
Investment project for the expansion, upgrading, and technological qualification of the laboratories of the Reggio Emilia Technopole, aimed at activating research infrastructures in digital & sensing equipment and the energy requalification of the Technopole
The project by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the managing body, falls within the program for the redevelopment of the former Reggiane Mechanical Workshops (Officine Meccaniche Reggiane) aimed at creating the Innovation Park (Parco Innovazione). Specifically, it concerns the strengthening of the Technopole through the construction of a new structure in the immediate vicinity and the acquisition of new technologies for research. The purpose is to create a single integrated system capable of increasing industrial research and technology transfer, also in the field of digital & sensing equipment.
Specifically, the intervention aims to:
- increase the quantity of spaces for research laboratories and demonstrators;
- acquire new technologies for research;
- improve the accessibility of the structure with the creation of new parking facilities and connections.
Furthermore, the intervention includes energy requalification for performance improvement and consumption reduction.

The call for proposals
The project is one of the 15 Operations of Strategic Importance - Europe 27 Projects, financed by the call for proposals for the development of the structures of the Emilia-Romagna Technopole with ERDF Regional Programme 2021-2027 resources, with the aim of implementing several actions of the Programme:
