Project of infrastructure, technical, and energy qualification for the enhancement of the Ravenna Technopole, Faenza site

To strengthen and enhance the research infrastructures of the Faenza site of the Ravenna Technopole, the Municipality of Faenza, the managing body, with the Interdepartmental Centre for Industrial Research in Advanced Mechanical Engineering Applications and Materials Technology - CIRI Advanced Mechanics and Materials of the University of Bologna, intends to carry out a building, technological, and energy requalification project for the property, where new research laboratories will be created:

  • laboratory for the modeling of composite materials and strengthening of the research activity of CIRI Advanced Mechanics and Materials;
  • infrared spectroscopy laboratory for new materials;
  • support space for the CIRI Advanced Mechanics and Materials laboratories;
  • specialization laboratory for computer-aided design and manufacturing;
  • functional area used for hospitality and reception at the Technopole.

The infrastructure intervention consists of the requalification of the spaces, and for the energy part, the improvement of the overall efficiency of the systems, including air conditioning, the installation of automation systems, and a photovoltaic system.
