Enhancement of Artistic, Cultural and Environmental Resources, Axis 5
Priority axis 5 is aimed at enhancement and promotion of Emilia-Romagna’s environmental, cultural and artistic assets to improve overall competitiveness and to attract new tourist flows.
Strategic areas include the Emilia-Romagna coastline, the Apennines, the Po Delta, the cities of art and the areas affected by the earthquake.
Priority objectives
It is based on three objectives:
- to protect and enhance natural heritage and to improve its use implementing innovative technology;
- to protect and enhance cultural and artistic heritage in greatest tourist attractions and to improve its use implementing innovative technology;
- to support integrated promotion activities for various tourist destinations.
This priority axis has been allocated €11.8 million up to December 31, 2020. In order to support the regional healthcare system in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic emergency, some projects were moved for funding under the National Development and Cohesion Fund.

Projects
Activities for enhancing urban landscape, historical buildings restored, museums and theatres re-opened to public, historical-cultural itineraries and environmental assets with new tourist services: many actions launched thanks to the ERDF ROP 2014-2020 with an important contribution to the Region's cultural and artistic heritage.
