La città e il fiume (The City and the River) - Environmental and landscape requalification project of the Reno river area and its ecological and cultural connections with the inhabited center of Sasso Marconi
The project aims to redevelop the areas compromised by invasive human activities on the riverbanks. It foresees the creation of two new public parks connected to the city: the Cava park on Reno river and the Memoria park, strategic areas for connecting natural, semi-natural, and urban elements.

The call for proposals
The project is one of the 20 Operations of Strategic Importance - Europe 27 Projects, funded by the call for proposals Design and construction of blue-green infrastructures in urban and peri-urban areas, with resources from the ERDF Regional Program 2021-2027, in implementation of Priority 2 - Sustainability, decarbonization, biodiversity and resilience, Specific Objective 2.7 - Strengthen nature protection and conservation, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including the one in urban areas, and reduce all forms of pollution, Action 2.7.1.
